Hi all, sorry again for the quiet days on the blog but as you may have guessed animation is a huge bottleneck for a solo developer. Originally I never thought I could even do this with any sense of practicality; I was never trained in animation and I’m typically a slow artist. But somehow I just get it, you know, when I sit down to draw a new action for Arashi or whatever, it just happens and I never have to think more about it. I’ve said before I don’t consider myself a true artist, but I think I am at the point where I understand why those fundamentals are hammered into your head in art school. Don’t underestimate the basics!
So I am about 50% done with Arashi’s animations, including all situational ones. It may not seem like much progress compared to the amount I have to do total to put the “COMPLETED” stamp on Shadowdawn Genesis, but Arashi is by far the most complex character in sheer number of actions and as the player there are a decent number of solo and linked commands that can be performed. This is where a 3D game would be nice… but we’re not ready to start talking about Shadowdawn yet. Don’t despair though, I’m getting a bit more free time from my day job which will translate to more artwork production. I can’t stress enough how much of a bottleneck this phase is, once it’s out of the way the game is ready for beta.
As for the website, welcome to the official launch of http://www.shadowdawngenesis.com! I wasn’t sure for a long time this was going to be the subtitle, since the original inception I’ve been trying to come up with something fitting, and really I can’t think of a better name for this story, so fundamental and at the beginning of everything. By no means is the website in its final form, it will be evolving in every way as time goes on with new artwork and more reveals, but the framework is in place and unlike my Shadowdawn website, it is quite easy to update. Legendofeuterra.com will still link to the same site until that project is revealed in the far future, as Shadowdawn Genesis is a production in the same universe.
Thank you, everyone of my readers, for your ongoing support, I honestly couldn’t keep up this momentum without you! See you next update!

Very cool. Btw, love Korean BBQ. 🙂 I wish I could eat more of it but the life of a hip implant lawyer. -___-
hehe I always thought Korean BBQ was the best value for the cost, at least if you go to all you can eat 🙂
